Proxy Servers (setting values manually)

How to set the Proxy Server settings by hand:

If you connect to the Internet via a "Proxy Server", the DynEd program should detect the settings automatically. The first time you ran the courseware, it will show you the settings that it found. If you want to change the settings later on you can click on the "Edit" button at the login screen when running the courseware.

Viewing your Proxy Settings

- Go to START->SETTINGS->CONTROL PANEL
- Click on "Internet Options"
- Click on the "Connections" Tab
- Click on "LAN settings" (if the button exists)
- Under "Proxy Server", look at the Address and Port settings
- Confirm that the values for "Use a Proxy Server" are correct
- There may be additional information if you click on "Advanced"
- We are interested in: the HTTP settings for "Address" and "Port"
-There is no one correct setting and the Proxy Server Address and Port will be different for everyone.
