DynEd Files installed on Windows Client

 

1.DynEd Files 

On a StandAlone installation:
- The default installation path is "C:\Program Files\DynEd".
- All main files go into "C:\Program Files\DynEd".
- A few files go into "C:\Program Data\DynEd" such as ENGINE.LOC, local.ini, records.ini

On a "modified" StandAlone installation: 
- The default installation path is "C:\Program Files\DynEd".
- You change the path to some other location such as "C:\DynEd"
- All main files go into "C:\DynEd".
- A few files go into "C:\Program Data\DynEd" such as ENGINE.LOC, local.ini, records.ini

For Windows XP 
Few files go to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DynEd"

On a Networked installation:
- The default installation path is "C:\Program Files\DynEd".
- You change the path to a location on your server such as "\\myservers\applications\DynEd"
- All main files go into "\\myservers\applications\DynEd".
- A few files go into "C:\Program Data\DynEd" such as ENGINE.LOC, local.ini, records.ini

For Windows XP 
Few files go to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\DynEd"

 

2. QuickTime: 
Installs its own .dll files  in c:\windows\system32

3. Adobe Acrobat
Installs its own .dll files
