Select a class and then access the Options -> Create Generic Students... from the menu.

This utility allows teachers to generate a group of "generic" students, each with a randomized 8-character code in place of a student name and e-mail address. This is particularly useful in setting up students in a class in advance of knowing which students will actually be studying. It is possible to generate 30 generic students at a time, with a maximum of 1,000 students per class. When the students arrive, they can either login with the 8-character code or they can click EDIT and enter their appropriate information.
