They can be installed Stand-Alone or Networked and Discless or CD-Based
Local Records
- Installation requires an Installation DVD or CD and an Installation Code.
- Students study on the local machine or on a client on the LAN (depending on installation type).
- Teachers can see student records from the local machine or on a client on the LAN (depending on installation type).
- If students study at home, they can e-mail their study records to the teacher. The teacher can import the e-mailed study records via the Records Manager (not the Records Server).
- Advantages
- Internet connection is not required (except for product registration).
- Study records and license management are stored locally either on the Server or local hard-drive.

- Disadvantages
- Study Records can only be accessed at the site and not remotely over the Internet.
- E-mailing study records is a hassle.
